Today
Forty-five years on, still serving the Mahoning Valley from 11 Sheridan Road.
The firm you see today began as a small Poland, Ohio practice in 1980 — Kibler & Associates, started by R. William Kibler. His daughter Kim came home from Youngstown State that same year and went to work alongside her father. So did Fred, the man she'd marry. When R. William passed in 1983, Kim and Fred kept the doors open and the clients served. In 1987 the name on the building changed; almost nothing else did.
What that history actually means, day to day, is this: the books that Romeo & Associates closes for a small business this quarter are often books the firm has been closing for that same business since the Reagan administration. The estate plan we draft for a family this year was, more than once, a plan we first drafted for that family's parents. Continuity is not a marketing line for us. It is what the practice is.
We are a small firm by design. Two licensed CPA partners, a careful staff, and a deliberate pace that lets us actually know our clients. We don't take on more work than we can do well, and we don't pretend to be a national firm. What we offer is something the national firms can't: a Poland, Ohio practice that has been across the desk from real people in this Valley for two generations, and intends to be here for the next one.
